Handling and Use
- Packing crates, supplied free of charge for the hire period, will be charged to the Customer if not returned or replaced.
- Due care must be taken with all hired items, and they may only be used indoors unless agreed otherwise in advance.
- The Customer undertakes to keep the hired items in good condition.
- A signature must be obtained upon their return.
- A penalty charge of £20.00 + VAT may be applied for props returned without the relevant paperwork.
- The cost of repairs or replacement for goods damaged or lost during the hire period will be charged to the Customer.
- Goods not returned by the due date will incur extended hire charges until returned or the replacement value is received.
- Goods damaged beyond repair will be disposed of if not collected within 14 days.
Responsibilities and Insurance
- The Customer is responsible for the hired goods and must insure them against all risks.
- Delivery and collection of goods are not included in the hire charge.
- The Customer must ensure any sub-contracted transport has adequate insurance coverage.
- Appropriate blankets and ties should be used in enclosed vehicles for transportation.
- We reserve the right to refuse collection if appropriate protection is not available.
Copyright and Safety
- We cannot provide general copyright clearance for our goods as we do not control their usage; however, some our suppliers are aware of their use in visual media. Get in touch with us or seek your own legal advice if you have concerns.
- Electrical goods are supplied as props and not for their original intended use.
- The Customer is responsible for their safe use and should ensure they are checked prior to use.
- To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- No warranties (expressed or implied) are given regarding the goods, and all liability and responsibility for their use rest with the Customer, even if the intended use was communicated.
- All liability of the hiring company concerning the goods and their use by the Customer is excluded.
Payment Terms
- We reserve the right to request a deposit for any order(s) placed.
- For props taken out of the country, a deposit is required.
- A minimum hire charge of £100.00 + VAT applies to each contract. The same minimum charge applies to the first cash hire contract.
- Extended hire charges and loss & damage invoices are payable immediately.
- Accounts with unpaid balances will incur a £25.00 + VAT administration fee and may result in future payment method restrictions.
- An administration fee of 10% of the hire will be charged for orders cancelled more than 24 hours before the collection date. A 50% cancellation charge applies if less than 24 hours' notice is given, or for goods not collected.
- If accounts exceed their credit limits, immediate payment to clear the balance will be required.
All orders must be confirmed by 12pm to ensure next-morning collection.
Acceptance of Terms
By placing an order with us, you accept that:
- You have read and accept our terms and conditions above.
- Our terms and conditions will always prevail.
- You will make payment of all invoices according to our credit terms.
